CAIRNGORM HEATWAVE, FINAL DAY?

Glorious morning
Sun and clouds

Purple Sandpiper
Male ptarmigan in full croak

Dwarf Cornel
Moss Campion
Loch Avon
Feithe Buidhe
Coire an Lochain
It was another hot day in The Cairngorms, cooler than of late but still sticky with hardly a breeze on the tops. Some early sunshine gave way to high cloud later this afternoon. With the SE airflow bringing lots of haze this isn't great for landscape photography. But it's a great time of year for the abundance of wildlife and plants on the Cairngorm mountains so an absolute joy. Looks like the hot, dry and sunny weather is drawing to a close. Atlantic weather fronts over the next few days. I can't remember the last time I wore waterproofs. I think I am going to get re acquainted with them soon.
