Where has the summer gone? September already and the first day of my final Alpine trek this season. Tour du Mont Blanc number 54 underway with a fine group of 8 folk, all from Australia. Starting off on the Brevent in stunning weather. With the first hour we spotted 3 ibex near the Col du Brevent.  Still hot conditions despite Autumn knocking on the door. Looks set to be wonderful weather for the next few days at least.
