Frank n the Fiacaill ridge

Atmospheric cloud on the Fiacaill
A milder day today, the snow pack softening up so a good freeze and it will be fantastic The weather was much better than forecast, we escaped with a dry day. Frank and Harry out with me on their second day of winter fun. Tsoday we were back over in The Cairngorms. The guys were keen for a day of navigation and ome more steep ground. We headed up to the Fiacaill Coire Sneachda, the Father and son team navigating their way onto the ridge which was quiet by the time we arrived in the early afternoon. There was cloud on the plateau so some ideal conditions for map and compass skills. We walked over Cairn Lochan and some poor visibility then down into Coire an Lochain. Another great day out. Winter continues.......
