Morning sun over Mont Blanc
Our Haute Route trek now leaves the TMB route at Champex. The trail heads down to the towns of Sanbrancher & Les Chables in the Valle Bagnes. From here its a quick ride on the cablecar up to Les Ruinettes, which is at an altitude of 2000m. There then follows a very easy path to the Refuge Mont Blanc, our home for tonight. The weather improved from yesterday with much warmer temperatures and plenty of sun. Great views from the refuge terrace.
