Fab snow
The high winds of the last couple of days finally eased off this morning.  The freezing levels dropped throughout the day and we had some clear views. Steve is out with me on a four day course this week. He's a regular summer and winter walker living in the English Lake District with hills in his doorstep. There is always something new to learn in winter though.  So we kicked off with a fabulous mountaineering day on the Fiacaill Coire Sneachda.  We headed into Coire an t-Sneachda which was easy going with icy trails and a stroll through the boulder field. The snow was great getting up through the coire onto the ridge. Steve was loving the ridge with it's spectacular situation. High windchill on the plateau but with just a moderate breeze it was quite pleasant.  We topped off the day with a wander up to Cairn Gorm which is well plastered with rime. Top day. Winds back tomorrow and more snow showers.
