It seems like proper winter conditions has finally arrived. We had another 'warm' day on Tuesday followed by much colder conditions yesterday with fresh snowfall down to Aviemore level. With temperatures down to minus 4 at 900m today and a reasonable covering of snow it really felt like mid January. This time things look set to stay that way. Forecasts are for a bit of snow top up in the coming days and getting even colder into next week. Now that's how we like it.
The wonderful Cairngorm wildlife we're loving their normal blanket of snow covered terrain too. Winds died and the cloud slowly lifted has the day wore on. A bit dull for photography but atmospheric.
