HIGH WINDS IN THE CAIRNGORMS

Fabulous cloud this morning

Mountain Hare coping well in the wind

Bit breezy on the Fiacaill today

Sausage shaped clouds over Loch Morlich
Getting buffeted here!

More of these
First taste of a really windy Cairngorms this season. It was hard work battling up through the gales today. With constant gusts of 70-80mph at 900m and not much better at lower altitudes. Still it was a lovely sunny, warm afternoon and great to be out.Wonderful cloud formations this morning with  a big sausage shape strung out across Strathspey. A group we're heading up to the Fiacaill Ridge, if they got along that then hats off to them. It would have been a big struggle getting anywhere along the plateau in these conditions. The Mountain Hare were coping well in the gales and getting a sharp image today was a struggle!
