A WHITE CHRISTMAS EVE FOR SURE

Atmospheric snow up to Meall a' Bhuachaille

No summit views today

Northern Cairngorms white today

More Christmas Trees

Gear needed above 800m

Whats that on the Cristmas Tree?

Poor visibility and deeper snow

Christmas Trees aplenty
We had more snowfall last night and into today across much of the Highlands. In The Cairngorms the visibility would have been pretty poor. Up on Meall a' Bhuachaille this morning it wasn't windy at all until around 800m when a stiff wind had me reaching for the ski goggles. Snow showers off and on through the day and the depth of snow is now accumulating nicely. Christmas Day it is due to warm up rapidly before an equally rapid cool down by the end of the afternoon with more snow on the horizon. So looks like we may get a White Christmas here in Aviemore. A very Merry and hopefully a very white Christmas to everyone!
