A WHITE CHRISTMAS?

A pair of Golden Eagles!
The long period of 'warm' weather is thankfully over. Today was more like December with a fresh dusting of snow down to Aviemore level this morning. Storm Barbara not far off our shores but it was just a 'Cairngorm breeze' on the top of Meall a' Bhuachaille today. We had some brief bright spells and cloud lifted off the tops. The visibility was poor when the snow showers moved in. Highlight today though was not one but a pair of Golden Eagles at low level and just 150m in front of me. It was marvellous just watching them play just above the tree line. They weren't too high off the ground, brilliant to watch. Will this stint of snow last? Will we have a white Christmas?
