Picnic time

Another fine, sunny day in The Cairngorms. Not so hot, very pleasant to be out. I was out today with a great family from the USA, The Zimmermans. They wanted a nice 'hike' in The Cairngorms National Park. Sgor Gaoithe fitted the bill nicely. 5 hours, mostly on excellent trails and a Munro summit too. Of course the views are beautiful too. Despite the fact they had hiked in Yoesemite and Oregon National Parks in the USA, they had never set foot off any well made trails, until today. A whole new experience for them. They were so lucky to have such a beautiful sunny weather day. We saw no one all day. I've talked them into coming back and exploring the NW Highlands. I had a great bike ride home, Glenfeshie in afternoon sun is a terrific place for cycling.
