Joe, Cas, Barry & Dan had a spare day knocking about after the 'official' finish of their TMB trek. The sun was shining and they were keen to cram another action packed hiking day in before they all went off on their extended holidays all over Europe. I suggested Lac Blanc via ' The Ladders' as the route is commonly known. Another steep trek through forest from Tre La Champ brings you out to a rock band some 200m in height. This is easily overcome by a mix of steel ladders, Stemples, cables and wooden logs. We saw half a dozen young ibex roaming all over the trail and hillside. With great views toward Mont Blanc it made a fine end to the trip.
