Leanne is out with me for the next 4 days on An intensive 4 day Navigation Course.  An excellent way to get superb confidence and highly skilled in map and compass. Today we kicked off with the basics indoors at the cafe! Looking at various maps, scales and compass types. Then it was out into the cool mountain air. The winds had eased right back by the time we gained the Cairngorm plateau. There was a few, brief snow and hail showers up on the tops. Some nice bright spells in between.  Leanne did a grand job and quickly picked up lots of vital map reading skills.
