Sunday 5th February.
A top day guiding on a wildlife photography workshop. Simon was out last year with me photographing our beautiful mountain hares. This year he's out on a 2 day wildlife photography workshop.

With a good forecast on the Cairngorms we headed up high to photograph the Ptarmigan. We weren't disappointed. Some fabulous moments, well about 2 hrs in total, as we watched and photographed 3 separate pairs of these amazing birds.

Brilliant weather conditions, light winds, some sunshine and great visibility. Always nice to get a break in the weather. There had been a fresh dusting of overnight snow. The remaining, old snowpack is frozen solid.
A top day. Ptarmigan images later, tomorrow- mountain hares.
