THE SUN SHINES ON CMD AND BEN NEVIS

The Ben from CMD
Taking a break along the arete
Quiet and sunny all the way
Blue skies above the Ben
Kath enjoying the ridge walking and views
The views back are good too
Salix Herbaeca (Dwarf Willow) tucked into the rocks at over 1200m

Great views over to Steel Meadows and the Mamores
Afternoon views from the summit
After some early cloud and just an odd, brief shower the sun burned off the cloud by afternoon and it was another beautiful day in the west Highlands. Kath is out with me for the next 3 days for some Munro hillwalking. Today she got off to a stunning start to her Highland Holiday with a superb walk on Carn Mor Dearg and over the arete to Ben Nevis. Stunning views and excellent clarity of light and it was a quiet day over the ridge. We enjoyed warm sunshine with a nice breeze to keep the midge at bay-perfect really. Tomorrow looking like more of the same.
