LAST DAY, LADDERS & LIGHTNING

Time to celebrate
For the final day on this TMB we finished with a bit of fun. From Argentiere we made our way up to Lac Blanc via 'The Ladders'. A series of short, steep iron rungs, cables, steps and ledges to work our way up to one of the finest spots for views of Mont Blanc. Unfortunately the weather was cloudy and the big mountains were shrouded in greyness. The weather forecast was for deteriorating conditions by the afternoon so we made our way down to the Flegere cablecar when the thunder & lightening approached. The Flegere was on hold for while the storm passed. Great end to a fun trip with a fab group, some of which pushed through the pain barrier of blisters, knee problems and flu. Another TMB of mostly hot sun and less than 30 minutes of light rain over the 10 days of trekking. Well done!
