Today's route into Courmayeur from the Refugio Monte Bianco is a short day. Half the team were fired up to bag a summit enroute and make it a bit longer. I've never been up Mont Chetif in all the years I've guided the TMB. It's a fine lump of rock which sits right above Courmayeur, guaranteeing some memorable views. The path up from Col Churcuit goes through impressive rock towers and always interesting. Stunning views of Mont Blanc, Grandes Jorasses and the Val Ferret. We timed it well with clear skies on top before some thundery outbreaks by late afternoon. Good day out.
