The team enjoying Refugio refreshment after a great day
For mr the finest days on the Tour du Mont Blanc are most definitely on the Italian side of the trek. The high level route above Val Veny ranks as the best section of the entire route for views of Mont Blanc. Before this part we first of the splendour of the Col de La Seigne which marks the French-Italian frontier. The day started much cooler on the climb out of Les Chapieux with cloud cover, a welcome relief from the heat of the last two days.  No views of Mont Blanc from the col this morning though.  The descent down the other side is very easy and the sun started breaking through. The afternoon just got better as the cloud slowely shelter off the summits and the sun made it's appearance. Stunning views for Samantha, Ryan & Arthur while the other half of the Duffy family took the lower, shorter route into Courmayeur for the ice cream shops. Top day. This week I am guiding for Alpine Treks.
