The Fenetre Arppette is the toughest day on the entire Tour du Mont Blanc. Most people opt for the rather dreary Bovine Route from Champex to Trient. The Fenetre is about 6 million times more superior!  You really do feel like your climbing and on a mountain.  With a big 2000m ascent and nearly the same descent it makes for a big day out. It was a glorious clear skies morning, much clearer than of late but very hot still with temperatures reaching the high 20's again in the valley. The Duffy family coping well with the more challenging terrain.  Another brilliant day out and cold drinks down at the Buvette des Glacier.
