The essiest section of the Walkers Haute Route is the trail from Arolla to La Sage. 1000m of descent into the beautiful Val d'Herens with it's centuries old falling buildings and flower filled wooden chalets.  With a gorgeous wee lake along the way, Lac Bleau, it makes an interesting and easy rambling day. Lots of cafes along the path, what's not to like? Lovely weather again, not too hot so perfect for hiking.  An early finish to enjoy the lovely views and lovely hospitality of the folk at La Sage Hotel.
