DEEP SNOW & NEAR WHITEOUT

 

Another light snowfall down to Aviemore level again this morning. Yesterday we had a fair few cm's of snow in town. The first snow we've had at Strathspey level this season. Up on the Monadhliath there was ankle deep snow above 400m. Above 700m it was near white out and ankle to shin deep snow. 




It was never going to be a nice day with great views. Although around mid day there was the briefest of cloud breaks and a bit of sun. Then it clouded over and back to almost whiteout conditions again. Hard going of course in unconsolidated snow. Good work out for winter.
