A stunningly beautiful clear skies morning in The Highlands. Low overnight temperatures so cold and clear and hardly a breeze. The guys were up for the best walking route onto Ben Nevis - via the Carn Mor Dearg ArĂȘte. There was snow from around 1000m and in places a fair few cm's. Steve and Chris were in at the deep end again- a quick run down on axe technique along narrow ridges and they were loving it. We caught up with a guy pushing/carrying a mountain bike along the arete., thats a first for me! The summit was deserted and we savoured the beautiful sunset on the decent. The guys were round in a fast 8.5 hours. It was a memorable day. I'm excited about winter!
