The section of The TMB between Courmayeur and Refugio Bonatti is regarded by many has the finest day of the entire trek. The high level traverse on Monte de la Saxe gives stunning views but a long day. My group were more for a relaxing day out so we chose the lower balcony trail. This route from the Refugio Bertone winds its way across Alpine meadows at around the 2000m. altitude. Another glorious sunny and hot day. It was busy than ever with lots of groups.  Where they all come from I don't know!
