Pulkit, Qin, Jorien and Franseca are out with me for a couple of days of winter skills. It was a dry, clear day in The Cairngorms which made a welcome and very pleasant change from the soggy day  yesterday. The temperatures were very slightly cooler but still above freezing on the tops. Not a lot of ice about but plenty of big snowy areas in The Northern Corries. We had our very own big patch of snow in Coire an Lochain to play on today. After mastering many techniques in the coire in the morning, we headed across the plateau and descended down into Coie an t-Sneachada via Windy Col. A good freeze would do wonders for the snowpack but looking like a wet and warm day again tomorrow. It is due to go colder by the end of the week so fingers crossed. Is your glass half empty or half full?  My glass is always half full, keep the faith. March will be the proper winter month, watch this space!
