The Haute Route, Day 2. Today sees a big Col with steep terrain and rocks steps up to the Fenetre Arppette.  The terrain for 90%  of the day is much harder but the views are outstanding. For much of the ascent The Trient Glacier is close by and became more impressive as you get higher. Another glorious day with wall to wall sun. A cold night giving another exceptional air clarity. This day sets the tonight for the big days to come.
