GLENCOE

Amanda & Neil are with me for two days buiding on their previous winter skills course from last Saturday. We headed into Coire an Lochan in Glencoe, along with quite a few other folk! We covered avalanche awareness on our route up onto the lovely East ridge of Stob Coire an Lochan. After manouvering around some bottle necks along the ridge we found our own little piece of quietness for the rest of the day. At the bealach into Coire Gabhail we went through a couple of snow anchors and belays to get down to the coire floor. The weather was a very fine morning, then a couple of hours of snow and poor vis and to finish a clear sky once again. Avalanche Catagory is HIGH at the moment, take care out there.
