BEINN A' CHAORAINN-EAST RIDGE

Another stunningly beautiful day with clear skies, wall to wall sunshine and not even a breeze on the tops. George and I were on the East ridge of Beinn a' Chaorainn near Loch Laggan today. We never saw a sole anywhere all day. This is a lovely mountaineering route which finishes right on the summit of this Munro. It was hard going through the forest with deep snow but worth all the effort. Snow on the ridge was mostly excellent hard snow, fantastic. A small blip in the weather tomorrow before high pressure builds agin for later in the weekend. So spoilt this winter!
