A rather wet day today, starting off dry but by late morning the rain set in, turning to wet snow above 800m. Today I was out with 5 students from Lochaber College here in Fort William. We covered all areas of mountain leadership as part of their degree course in preparation for the assessment day next week. It was quiet on the hill as we headed up onto Sgurr an Iubhair in The Mamores. Poor visability, wind, cold and snowy on the tops today, is this really May?
