What a glorious summer day here in The Cairngorms. Very warm temperatures, wall to wall sun and hardly a breeze on the tops. It was fabulous to be on Braeriach in such wonderful weather. Cycling up to Loch Einich the rear gear cable snapped on the bike so stuck in top gear all the way up, got there in 1 hr 10mins from the house so a bit faster than normal! The wonderful stalkers path from the loch takes you easily onto the plateau and to the third highest peak in the UK. Stunning views, clear and walking in just a base layer all day, fantastic. It was getting busy on the way down, saw two people. The cycle out was much less effort! Was this the last warm day of summer?
