Mizzle & drizzle |
Sunday 19th February.
Richard out with Gary Hodgson Photography on day 2 of his Mountain Hare Photography weekend.
A very different weather day from Saturday. Rising temperatures, poor visibility in the morning, bouts of drizzly, mizzly sleat, turning to rain plus windy conditions. Not great ingredients for photographing our beautiful hares. They were very active today with lots of fresh prints in the thawing snow.
Mountain Hare activity |
By the time we left the hill, the soft snow conditions had melted and turning slushy.
A drier afternoon and cloudbase lifted to above the high tops.
Snow returns on Wednesday!
Thanks to Richard who booked another 2 days with me this year and was out for a day last winter too.
Tea time |
If you would like to photograph these beautiful creatures they will be in their lovely white pelage into March. I have plenty of dates available throughout the finest month of winter.
