I was Marshalling on Ben Nevis yesterday evening for a 3 peaks challenge event with 15 small groups all from Marketing company in Englandshire. Yours truely was given the summit location as per usual. It was a warm day but the sun dissappeared in the afternoon and some cloud coming and going on the summit. I had at least half an hour of peace on the summit, just me and the snow buntings before the teams started arriving. The tatty memorials are beginning to be left on the summit area again, it is the John Muir Trust's policy for the mountain to be left in a natural, clean and as wild a state as possible. They spent a lot of time and energy removing litter and tat from the hill, including the constant litter removal through out the year.
