SURGEONS RIB - BEN NEVIS

A stunningly beautiful, sunny and very warm day on the west coast again today. George and I had a great day out on Surgeons Rib, Ben Nevis. This easy scramble is on the long spur leading up to the SW Carn Dearg summit of The Ben. It runs next to the huge and spectaular Surgeons Gully. The vegetation here is wonderful, loads of bearberry and billberry in flower and heath spotted orchids everywhere-too steep for sheep to venture! There was superb visability with blue skies all day. We saw no one all day (surprise, surprise!). A lovely descent into Coire Eoghainn and down the waterslide back to Glen Nevis for a great circular trip on The Ben - without the crowds!

Away from technology, working over in the Cairngorms next few days so no updates for a while.
