SLOW TRAIN TO THE HILLS

A cracking sunny and very warm day in the Highlands today. George and I decided to head slightly inland to get the best of the sunshine, we caught the train from Tulloch to Corrour on Rannoch Moor and walked over the 'Easians' Munro's, traversing the hills and returning back to Tulloch. This is a great way to walk these hills. It was very warm, T-shirt weather all day. Wonderful fauna & flora over these hills-due to lack of sheep grazing no doubt. Saw many Dwarf Cornell, Cow wheat and pipewort in abundance. First Dragonfly of the season, sunning itself and being photogenic. We saw no one all day and the views were far and distant from the Cairngorms to Ben lawers range, over to The Ben and Ardgour. Looks great weather next few days with high pressure and light winds-watch out for the cleggs which are out and biting!
