Neve all the way!

Harvey & Paul enjoying the gully
Windy at the top

Excellent snow cover on the plateau, looking over to Beinn Meadhoin
What a difference a couple of days of cold conditions makes. Two days ago I plundered down to Loch Avon in horrible knee twisting soft snow. Today we had neve all the way from the Cas carpark , acroos the plateau and down to Loch Avon all in fantastic conditions. Return clients Harvey & Paul we're out with me today and following on from their intro to winter last January they we're looking for something with a bit of adventure. We climbed Diagonal Gully on Stag Rocks. This grade I gully was in superb condition. We had neve all the way and the final section was very icy, wonderful! The guys still had energy at the top-they we're keen to bag Cairn Gorm summit to add to their Munro tally. Great weather, some sunshine and very fine views. The best day this winter for snow conditions and weather, more please :) Well done the guys, their first winter climb-with ease!
