A cold snap in The Highlands and a overnight dusting of snow on the mountains. Ian and I had a biking trip in the Abernethy Forest area with a circuit round Tore Hill which became more and more overgrown as we contoured round the summit on forest tracks. After surviving the heather and fallen trees we headed round Loch Garten and the beautiful Loch Mallachie before some great single track biking back to the Speyside Way (a few more fallen trees here). On the way home the cloud had lifted off the summits and the fresh snow had melted away. Great forecast next couple of days with clear skies and colder temperatures but bags of sun.
