BRAERIACH IN GLORIOUS SUNSHINE AND A TAD WINDY
A glorious sunny afternoon in The Cairngorms after some early high level cloud. On the bike-in the wind was fairly strong and on the tops even stronger but there was some respite in places. The wind made for some fabulous cloudscapes. I headed up to Coire Ruadh and it's bounding ridge, a fine and remote way onto the summit. En route there were Trailing Azalia just starting to come out, by June the Cairngorm plateau areas are carpeted with this wonderful Alpine plant. Wonderful views on the summit and no crawling involved! A busy working week ahead with Munro guiding for four days, two days biking and next weekend over on Skye for a couple of days. Some weather like today would be fabulous!
