BLOWING SNOW & COLD CONDITIONS CONTINUE

Climbers on the cliffs of Coire an Lochain
Sneachda and Lochain corries

Good snow cover to 700m

Coire an Lochain
Coire an Lochain
We were up on Ben Lawers Saturday. Snowing down to Killin level in the morning. Cloud to very low levels so we didn't venture too far in the gloom. The west coast getting it's fair share of snow cover now.
Back over in The Cairngorms today it was a much nicer skies day. The cloud off the tops and some afternoon sunshine. The stiff westerly wind was blowing a lot of snow around in Coire an Lochain and the winds increased as the day wore on. Excellent snow cover to Coire Cas carpark. The Northern corries path has quite a covering above 800m with more drifting snow. Busy on the cliffs today with plenty of climbers.
The cold conditions set to continue for some time yet.
The best view off Ben Lawers (Saturday)
