CAIRNGORMS

Over in the Cairngorms with Leeanne & Graham for a couple of days. Today we headed up the Fiacaill, acroos to Ben macdui, down to Loch Etchacan, up to Beinn Mheadoin, down to Loch Avon (exciting river crossing) and up to Cairngorm. A day of cloudy conditions with drizzle in the morning, brisk Northerly. cold winds. Today had everything, scrambling, navigation, coping with cold/rain/wind, walking in snow, river crossings and getting back before 10pm! Big day out for Leeanne (her first hillwalking experience!!) Still plenty of big patches of snow around the Macdui area and in some corries. Good full day out!

Hi Gary, love the photos and the story of our day. I have to inform you that this was in fact the highlight of our walking and I would do that day again. The scenery was spectacular and well worth the effort. Perhaps I would just turn the thermastat up a bit!!! I want to thank you Gary for being such a supportive, interesting, positive and fun guide. Would do it all again and hope to at some stage in the future. Leanne
