STUNNING

Matt enjoying the views
Looking west to Braeriach
Morning spindrift off Cairn Lochan
Fabulous snow cover
Cliffs well plastered
Peace and quiet over at Hells Lum
Loch Avon & Shelterstone Crag
Sadly we had to leave the views
Matt celebrating, Shame about the carpark spoiling the views!
Dream day
Top of Hells Lum
Fiacaill Ridge
Matt and I had a fabulous day out on the Cairngorm plateau. Stunning clear skies and brilliant snow cover to low levels. Hard going below 900m and some heavy drifting this morning. The winds eased slowly during the day. But the sun made up for everything, just stunning. This is what we live for and why we endure the bad weather days! Matt was getting some navigation practise in for his Winter ML assessment. How come it is always clear weather when you want it cloudy?! We navigated over to the top of Hells Lum and enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the holiday crowds and many skiers. It's also a tremendous view point and the gem of The Cairngorms but I never see anyone here, that's good though, suits me :). Great day and good craic with Matt. More days like this please. Well staying cold and settled for the foreseeable, all good!
