Sheltered in the coire |
Friday 6th January.
Return, family group of Alistair, Katherine & Will were back out with me again..Last year Katherine and her father were on one of my wildlife photography and mountain navigation day. Today was another one of my gift vouchers bought from Katherine for her Father's Birthday.
Today was first time out in winter conditions. The stormy winds slowly eased through the day allowing us to get into the coire and sheltered from the worse of it.
The snowpack is consolidating well with the M/F cycles. A dry day with the tops out of the cloud in the afternoon.
Lots of axe and crampon skills plus some avalanche awareness and assessment.
A top day with lovely folk.
