Day two for Len, Gem & Nigel on their Scottish mountain adventure. Today we headed into Coire an t-sneachda and in search of snow to get some winter skills in as preparation for tomorrows big day out on The Ben. The winds were more bearable than yesterday and it remand mainly dry. We went through the basics of axe and cramponing, followed by a wee self arrest session before heading upwards. For Len and Gem it was their first taste of winter hillwalking. They were all keen for Point Five Gully, a great way up onto the plateau. It's a steep gully which doesn't quite make the climbing grades. At the top of the Goat Track there was hardly any wind but by the time we got round to Windy Col it was a bit breezy. Great day out with plenty of good banter and well done all the team. The Ben and CMD awaits and looking great weather tomorrow.
