Sunshine limited
We've had a couple of days of stormy,  snowy and cold weather up on the Cairngorms. Just what we wanted! Snow and ice building up nicely. I had a morning  blast along the Fiacaill Coire Sneachda ridge. First along today, always lovely to walking along a freshly snowed up ridge with  no one around. There was a moderate wind blowing plenty of spindrift across the ridge. I'd say it's the best snow cover all season along plenty of rime ice and ice rocks but generally it's still hard going in the breakable crust lower down the hill. Up on the plateau and the cloud gradually drifted in and across the plateau. There was poor visibility and a strengthening wind by late morning.
Winter.
