FULL WINTER CONDITIONS IN THE CAIRNGORMS

Heavy going and poor visibility 

It's been cold and windy

No rest here

Heavy rime on the ski tows

Limited views last couple of days 

We're in a spell of very unsettled weather. Very cold temperatures of minus 5 C on the high Cairngorms,  loads of snow showers on strong winds. There was a lull in the winds this morning but these increased during the afternoon and evening. Heavy drifting snow and almost constant snowfall yesterday. Your navigation skills need to be up to scratch in the current conditions and having good fitness levels too!
