A wild, stormy night continued into this morning. By mid day the high winds had eased to just a breeze. There had been fresh snowfall down to around 900m. The hills were looking more winter like. Third and final day of the Braemar Mountain Festival.  Today I had a group of 6 folk. After looking at weather forecasts we decided to walk up Glen Callater and onto Carn an t-sagairt mor. It was a dry day and we had views. Northern Cairngorms looked much more winter like.
A great 3 days here in Braemar and some lovely folk to be out on the hills with. Big thanks to all the organisers of the Festival.  It was brilliant to be part of it. Next year we may be lucky and get full winter conditions!
